Donate to our Healthy Yums Cafe

We would like to eventually open a cafe dedicated to healthy eating and living. You could help us towards this goal! If you think you like what you see on our website, and would like to one day sit in a jazzy cafe eating our culinary creations, please feel free to donate to us, and remember, no donation is too small! :o) And if you make a significant contribution, we'll be more than happy to name a dish after you. Goodness knows we always have trouble naming our cooking :o). Thank you!

Pizza with a wholegrain crust

Who doesn't like pizza?! :o) Mr. Green makes the best whole grain pizza crusts. I don't really know his secret...I'll have to wrestle it out of him one day!

I do know that today, he only used whole grain flour, water, yeast, sugar, salt and olive oil. As for the sauce, he mixed tomato sauce, basil, oregano, spicy sambal oelek (a must in most of our cooking), some chopped chili and garlic.

As you can see from the above photo, Mr. Green got creative and used black olives for one half, green olives for the other, and low-fat cheese on the half with both kinds of olives.

Ah, homemade pizza. Yum. Much healthier than your local neighbourhood pizza joint, too.

wah...your cheat version sounds very interesting. i usually do chopped onions, sauteed with tamarind sauce (or lemon juice), sugar, a bit of belacan, and sambal oelek with ikan bilis :o). but i think i might try yours lah.

we can get sambal oelek and kicap manis here too...mostly because of the proximity with the netherlands means indonesian foodstuff is pretty readily available. luckily right??!!! if not...i'd slowly while away...
